Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team - Weekly Update Here’s this weeks update from the Neighbourhood Team - 1x arrest made - 1x vehicle seized. Van located on false plates and suspected to be used in crime - Section 61 eviction paperwork issued to an Unauthorised Encampment of 6 caravans - Assisted colleagues from the Rural Crime Team (RCT) and the RSPCA with the seizure of a horse under the Animal Welfare Act - 5x Joint housing visits completed - 1x Section 35 Dispersal Order issued to a male causing anti-social behaviour in the town centre - Attended reports of a found child. Child quickly reunited with parents and appropriate safeguarding put in place - Intelligence led hotspot foot patrols in the town centre and a number of villages, liaising with local residents and shop workers - 1x Multi Agency meeting attended online regarding a vulnerable person - 1x Missing Person located - 1x Male issued with a Section 59 Warning after officers witnessed a motorcycle being ridden in an anti-social manner - Disruption visit made to a ‘Knife Carrying Nominal’. - 1x Op Revoke referral made to the DVLA. This occurs if there are grounds to suspect a licence holder has failed to comply with their legal obligations to notify the DVLA of a potential relevant medical condition that may affect their ability to drive safely - Attended Poundbury Kite Festival, carrying out foot patrol - High risk missing person enquiries - 3x Safeguarding referrals made following visits to vulnerable persons Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team ( NPT ) comprises of our Inspector and our Seargent, we then have 4 Police Officers and 4 Police Community Support Officers ( PCSO ). The area we cover is vast and divided into 4 so each PCSO and PC focus on their given area whilst helping colleagues when needed.
